Cuvée Marine Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Chardonnay
Excellent. Classic white burg. Apparently grown very near Clos Vougeot. Will buy more asap.

Jan 11th, 2025A nice white from a red Burg producer. Sea spray and pear aromas. Good body weight, medium acidity and went well with our roast chicken.

Feb 19th, 2018Prior notes still apply, love this bottle; Years in the tank still!
Nose has never ending crushing of flint/granite, warm lemon curd, salted yellow apple slice, cool Asian pear and old, crystalline cheddar.
Palate has ripe pineapple, over-ripe yellow apple, moist chalk/limestone, dried coconut shreds, faint butter notes and table salt, with medium acidity.
A great wine, slow oxidation for 2H then decanted 1H, so many years in front of this amazing bottle. Drink this 2026-2030 from proper storage.

Pre-birthday dinner for our dear COVID bubble friend; we've only allowed one of our close friends into the house for almost the past year, tonight we're celebrating that he's one year older than me. 😉

Kiwi, canned pineapple, corn husks and asian pear on the nose.
Beautiful texture and balance. A richness but super bright and great lift with the acid that hits you at the mid palate and takes you through to the finish. Taste like a zesty Napoleon dessert (cream, kiwi, apricot).

Showing much better than the 2011 I had last year. Peachy with a saline and Parmesan note in the background. A cool little wine but I'm still not convinced HCDN Blanc should ever be this pricy.
