Pumonte Vin de Corse Calvi Vermentino

Vintage 2012 - wine from #corse #corsican local grapes #nielluciu and #sciaccarello The wine has very clear evolution, giving a rooftile brown rim. The smell of a stable, positive stinking! Also raspberries liquor, plums, a bit dusty impression in taste with a nice bitter at the end. The smell of the wine from these curious grapes reminded me a bit of Burgundy.

Tastes of a warm climate with rounded ripe fruit, apples and mellon, a slight saltiness adds depth

Light golden yellow with a dry but herbal/mineral nose. Medium body in the mouth with nice balance of acidity and green apple flavors. Some dryness at the end. Nice-

Special wine from nielucciu and sciarrellu. Quite light in Colorado but nice balance and length. Hints of garrigue. Earthy tones.

Light to medium bodied, will pair well with fish, good tannins, cherry flavors.

Best Vermentino ever drunk upto now. Peach/ananas in combination with full creamy body giving it good length

Fruity and rich. Almost like port.

Ah, la Corse!
