Gorgeous aromas. Wow. Floral, meaty and mid to late season red cherries. Pungent! Almost confectionery out of the gates. In such a great spot. So many berries and spice. Woodland berries. 9.6 nose. Ultra glorious. Gorgeous palate if a bit straight with lovely lush cherry fruit and terrific structure and freshness. Tannins a bit firm on the finish but air will resolve that I suspect. Good concentration as well and lift. Really good acids. Let’s see what air does to this. Palate fleshes out but still some unresolved tannin. Not sure if it will go away. Well made but also boring. With air this regressed to a 9.2 from a 9.4.

Great balance and pleasure
Red and a bit blue berries
Mineral and a bit of licorice in the after taste
It has a slightly darker approach than the majority of Gevrey, maybe a bit more Morey or even Nuits. Nevertheless I find it extremely enjoyable. It's long.
