Good vintage showed with an elegant nose. Slightly tannic at the onset, so poured our glasses and prepared dinner for abt 20min. Was opening up quite well at that point.

1999 vintage at Combotte in London. Medium ruby. Medium concentration of red fruits, stewed fruits and smoke. Slightly hot. On the palate, medium acidity, medium body, medium plus alcohol (perception), a touch leathery and oaky. Medium plus finish. Not bad. Not a keeper - do not believe this will benefit from further ageing. Crashed quite quickly with Volatile Acidity.
