Tank sample. A clear step up in complexity and scale. The nose combines classic Chablis minerality with a deeper fruit profile than the Côte de Léchet, showing green apple, Granny Smith, sweet lime, crushed stone, and remarkable purity. Still unmistakably old-school Chablis in style, but with more flesh and breadth wrapped around the mineral core.

The palate is spectacular. Concentrated, sapid, and intensely structured, with tremendous depth and persistence. Where Côte de Léchet feels like a mineral storm, Vaillons presents similar intensity through fruit, texture, and architecture. The fruit is layered and juicy, but the structure is impossible to miss, carrying the wine across a long, powerful finish that feels built for decades rather than years. The minerality remains firmly in place, but everything is broader, deeper, and more complete. Still extremely young, but already showing the balance, concentration, and authority of a serious Premier Cru. A brilliant Vaillons and one that should reward long-term patience.

A rich but energetic Vaillons with some fat but good maybe decent acid and such freshness and energy. Delicious ripe minerality and an appealing lushness to it all. Nose is glorious seashells and some lime zest.

Nose is rich and mineral with lime blossom, some vulcanized rubber, candied limes and lemon zest, green apple skins, honeysuckle the faintest hint. Chewy and dense with brilliant energy and freshness. Great cut and energy and super clean. Big concentration and slathers your palate with minerals. Finishes with terrific persistence and length. This is just so classic and has almost no fruit and wonderful mineral and persistence. Great structure for aging.

Still having great luck with this bottle. Third one in a month. Will slow down a bit but it really has great balance.

Huge super expressive nose, Gorgeous purity and mineral depth. Pear, apple, such layering. Seashells. Rich and expansive but unabashedly Vaillons. Rich, ripe and expansive with gorgeous fruit inflected with intense minerality. Such a nice contrast. Balanced, mineral and so long with a midpalate one can get lost in. Terrific.

Lovely. Ripe than the Lechet but also has the requisite intense Kimmeridgian minerality. Dazzlingly pure with insane depth and length. Amazing texture and all out mineral assault On the palate but becomes super juicy and so delineated and elegant on the insanely mineral finish. Terrific pear and Apple fruit that support the minerality.

Laser focused. Quite young, but the 14’s are easy to approach.
