What can I say about the Dirty and Rowdy mourvedres I haven't already said - nobody else makes California wine you can guzzle with as much joyous abandon as these (and from mourvedre no less!). It is one of those rare reds that is thirst-quenching. This bottling manages to pull that off while being a bit more past its fruit elements than some of the others, heavier on the pebbly minerality than the primary juiciness.

Took this wild young stallion for a spin. Crazy red fruit, stems, and minerality. Well done @Hardy Wallace Giddy up!

Blackberries and crushed rock. A little funk to tie it all together. Deeper pitched than many of the other D & R wines.

An ethereal pleasure. I want to see this in 10 years and drink it from a magnum with my favourite people

In magnum, Sunday night with Larsens. First impressions: lean, wiry, edgy, fruit in the background. With exposure to air, in the glass and bottle, the fruit blooms and tannin softens. I would hold this a couple of years-- if I can wait that long! Bravo Hardy!
