Needs time to open up, but then is great soft and savory Semillon. Where the acidity falls off a bit, the texture picks up the slack. Honeyed ginger citrus tea. Please and thank you.

Funky, but fun, like licking concrete that has been wet down with a light apple/pear cider, a wine with good depth and interesting character-med body, high acid, phenolic aromas and flavors. Lynette thought it was too funky but I liked it.

Will age some and come back. Seeing cloudy whites makes me want to push my winemaking.

Really cool wine. Floral, waxy, melon and citrus zest on the nose. "Bright" acidity on the palate, with great minerality. And yes, you read the ABV correctly, under 11%. I want some oysters ASAP!!

Sep 9th, 2015Understated, but with the right food (sea bass) this opens up into a surprisingly complicated, dynamic, thought provoking wine. Not nearly as accessible as the D&R Mourvedre, but very compelling. Sad to hear this is the last vintage...
