Saperavi Red Dry

Really disappointing - haven’t had much Georgian wine and this one isn’t encouraging. Sweet and sour quality I associate with Midwestern local farm wine. Improved on the 2nd day and seemed to dry out but wouldn’t buy this again even to cook with.

Bright, peppery, grassy notes? Too light bodied for me.

Interesting mouth feel

Very middle of the road. Clean. Almost a dirt aroma

Red cherry and currant, tobacco and herbaceousness; sour and acidic.

First time trying Georgian wines. Smooth, tannic, and fruity, smells of blackberry and chocolate with slight coffee and tobacco taste

The amphora-iest amphora ages Wine I’ve ever had. Also, this wine is the perfect pairing for salt and pepper pistachios.

Good. Tannins are a little harsh but good

Better on its own but not off putting with food.
