Crisp, zesty, powerful chalk underneath pomme and citrus flavors. Dialed in across the palate, focused.

Hmmm. Cork was pretty soaked and reeks of TCA. Nose of this is devoid of anything really (possibly caused by cork). Flavors are like a green candy apple and under ripe pear. Refreshing really. Think a super hot day and you just want lawn mower beer. This could be your lawn mower bubbly. Tirage 2017. Disgorged 6/13/2018. 4.5 g/L. SS

Dégorgement 9/18. Dominated by creamy, pure Cramant, with a lime leaf/galangal edge from other crus. Only 4g/L dosage, so it’s quite bracing. Always a favorite from the Côte des Blancs.

This was bottle was less harsh, abrasive, than a previous bottle. However, the bead was not very refined. These wines are head scratchers more often than I recall from a decade ago. The creamy, rich, character of Cramant shines through, but bottle variation makes you question execution.

A burst of yellow fruit, chalk, and fragrant orchard blossoms. Lots of breadth on the palate, almost square, adding a degree of textural complexity I enjoyed.

Creamy but still very fresh; great biscuity, minerally depth. I love this.

Pale old gold with a surfeit of tiny bubbles, very attractive. The nose shows so much citrus upon opening. Quince and peach are dominant at first with green apples coming in. The customary yeasty aromas tend to fresh vanilla brioche bread. There’s also a really nice touch of spices here that helps to distinguish it from the pack.

Blanc de Blancs from the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly, and Mesnil sur Oger. A blend of three vintages and disgorged in November of 2018 with a lowish dosage of 4.5 g/l. Creamy with racy acidity. Finesse over power. Delicate and well structured.

Quite rich and autolytic in nature. That spice is present on the palate along with more citrus fruits and just a bit of smoke. A nice snippet of oak says hello and goodbye and then the chalk takes over. The finish is a bit short and overall you’re left wanting a little more but this is fun and elegant.
