I wanted to like this more. It was missing something insightful, idk. Good acid and fruit, although the abv is somewhat high, it wasn’t pronounced

V2018. Whoa! Really good, really different. Peaches, melons, wet rocks nose. Creamy, ripe tropical fruit, peach, melon and lime fruits. Saline and mineral finish. Nicely balanced, loved it!!

From a site in Los Alamos, the 2017 Chardonnay Bar M is perfumed, lifted and wonderfully gracious in feel. Citrus and floral notes abound in a very pretty, expressive Chardonnay that shows the aromatic style that is so common here. White flowers, mint and saline overtones add closing layers to this pretty and inviting Chardonnay from Greg Brewer's Diatom label. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2019)

This is a beautiful wine! Very Chablis in presentation! Loads of stone fruits...white flowers...acidity is awesome..with generous salinity to coat your palate! I am enjoying this a bit chilled but not enough that the glass looks cold. Thank you @Ron R and @Anne-marie Beausejour for a nice recommendation! 😉

A real wine here, with structure, balance, and trickyness. Someone mentioned lemon oil on the nose and I also taste it on the palate, followed by medium mineral notes. Finally finishing with either very light acidity, or nice medium acidity. Every sip seems to give me a different level of acidity, even while drinking without food. This wine is a nice balance of fruit and mineral and acidity. Another review mentioned an old world feel, and I also get that too. All in all this is a great wine for under $30. But for $20 more you can get Nickel and Nickel. Just a thought.

Agree with previous. Great balance. Don’t taste the alcohol despite the high level. Great stone fruit. Not a butter bomb.
