1978: Bottle in great shape. Fresh concentrated fruit, redolent with black cherries. Narrow palate profile, was opened spontaneously, so decanting would be advised. Metallic aspect to finish. Tannins fully resolved. Was fun to recall time spent with Al Brounstein, who was one of a kind.

From my cellar. Cork fell apart, but the wine was in excellent condition. Needed 1/2 hour to really open up. Fragrant, smooth, with tremendous balance and length. Lovely!
