Ramitello Molise Rosso Montepulciano Blend

Distinctively Italian bouquet. Spicy and tannic all over the mouth. Fun little Cabernet franc type impression, albeit coming from Montepulciano and aglianico instead. It has some leather and cigar box, but still retains a good bit of red fruit. A little black peppercorn on the finish.

Fun wine with a nose that screams Italy.

Lots of spices associated with oak and barrel aging. Mouth coating tannins. Cherry and dirty leather on the palate. Young gun that needs time and air.

85% Montepulciano, 15% Aglianico. Exuberant dark cherries verging on plums. Soft textured at first, & then the acid kicks in. A little simple, but nice.

When you let this wine open it shows soft full bodied red and black fruits with spices.

Still a damned tasty wine for the $$. I need to get to Molise :-)

Very big bouquet for an Italian wine. Oak and leather notes. Dark fruits. Smooth flavors rich with lightly toasted oak, leather, and dark fruits. Smooth on the tongue with low tannins. Very nice wine.

Blend of Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes. Deep ruby color. Plum, wild berry, dark chocolate, licorice, mushroom and leather. Rich and velvety. A whole lot going on here. Long finish.

Got a bottle from new season and opened in the sip bar. It is all right. Not good enough for buying again

Mmmm love this from first taste, chalky raspberry fruit. Pretty clear claret color, will have trouble waiting 90 minutes for the beef stew to finish before indulging. This wine has character.
