If you are in a rut....drinking New World reds, then jump start your palate, relax and enjoy this excellent Sangiovese. The bright red color disappears into a blood red hue loaded with aromas of red raspberry, pomegranate and plum. Hiding in the aroma is a hint of baseball glove leather. The smooth tannins invite you to enjoy more. Excellent pairing with fresh home made pizza and family. — 20 days ago
Actually a very good example of Aglianico. Elements of balsamic and smoke and charcoal. — 4 years ago
Tasty montepulciano, medium bodied, very tasty — 21 days ago
The 2016 Ramitello shows a dark, floral and alluring bouquet of crushed violets, blackberries, vanilla bean and hints of animal. Velvety in texture yet lifted in feel, the 2016 leans toward the savory spectrum. Brisk acids maintain energy as fine tannins slowly mount. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2021) — 4 months ago
Not the ordinary review really.
Kept the bottle to open before my baby’s birth. It is advised for the mother to have half a glass of wine before leaving to the hospital. Was woken up in the middle of the night and opened the bottle straight away. After nine months of not drinking any alcohol her reaction was: delicious! . After the second sip she reacted: i’m not sure i like it...
Here are my thoughts having it from a paper cup in the hospital 14 hours later and 24 hours later in a glass which was not for wine.
Pale transparent golden yellow in the eye. A light smell of Grass, apple, pear and some lemon on the nose. Fruity and tart with a hint of bitterness and some minerals on the mouth. Medium body with a pleasent dry acidic finish. Complex and balanced. Trying to recreate my naples falanghina expirience. This comes quite close but missing the fantastic dryer finish. — 3 years ago
Blackberry, black plum, leather and wet forest floor on the nose. The palate is velvety with very fine grain tannins, awesome value and a great pairing with simply seasoned sirloin steaks! — 4 months ago
