Nice little sparkler. Needs more acidity but it has all the right flavors. Just not intense enough.

Light sparkling wine with a somewhat creamy body under the effervescence. Pretty straightforward lemon, nectarine, and white peach on the nose. Palate is more citrus forward, with hints of mineral. Doesn’t finish particularly clean as the citrus hangs on the palate. Solid value.

The base was fine, but the aftertaste was disgusting. I spent the entire glass trying to identify the principal taste to avoid it in the future. The first taste was strangely reminiscent of stringed cucumber but quickly was replaced by something altogether unforgettable and completely regrettable. I will probably try to avoid this brand in the future just in case the flavor slipped into any other varieties, but had previously had a much better experience with the brand’s Demi-sec. Fully agree with Amy’s perspective: kind of skunky.
