The Ditch Digger Grenache Blend
Softening. Seems to be on the downward slope. More earth then fruit.

Apr 26th, 2021Brilliant magenta. Heady, mineral-laced red berry preserve, spicecake and floral pastille aromas are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals, vanilla and exotic spices. Juicy, sharply delineated raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show superb concentration and turn sweeter with air. The sappy, extremely long finish is framed by smooth, slow-building tannins that fold effortlessly into the wine's plush, alluringly sweet red fruit. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Dec 4th, 2015Less than Paso ripe. Nice wine with a fair amount of glycerin. Could use more acid for my tastes. Smelled stemy at first, but faded to ripe red fruit. Still not over the top.

Nov 5th, 2015Superb complexity for Grenache. Not too fat. Not thin. Blended very well and far from uniform. Suttle perceived sweetness, new oak. Well integrated blend. It opened up in the glass very nicely. Fine-grained tannin. Perfect time to drink while the fruit is fresh.
