Hints of cherry and licorice. Pairs well with "lighter" red meats such as veal and filet mignon. Hard to find a reasonably priced good, Italian red now a days

2 people found it helpfulOct 5th, 2015Light clear ruby--pinkish tinge. Potent nose of leather, rose, unripe cherry pit, tar, and a hint of oregano. Clear grippy chewy sucking tannins. Raw and bright on the palate, aromatic finish. This is my first Nebbiolo, and it's got strong delicious aspects that are clearly different from any other red varietal or blend I've had yet. [Rating it off of its first day: tannins, nose and finish all mellowed deleteriously overnight.]

Apr 1st, 2016Nebbiolos like this reinforce my perception that sometime you should go with Nebbiolo over Barolo. Not too tannic, not too much cherry, excellent with food. Great value
