Hints of cherry and licorice. Pairs well with "lighter" red meats such as veal and filet mignon. Hard to find a reasonably priced good, Italian red now a days

Apr 9th, 2023Light clear ruby--pinkish tinge. Potent nose of leather, rose, unripe cherry pit, tar, and a hint of oregano. Clear grippy chewy sucking tannins. Raw and bright on the palate, aromatic finish. This is my first Nebbiolo, and it's got strong delicious aspects that are clearly different from any other red varietal or blend I've had yet. [Rating it off of its first day: tannins, nose and finish all mellowed deleteriously overnight.]
