Doyenne Roussanne

I was able to attend another Wednesday Wine Committee this week and it did not disappoint (they never do). As normal, all wines are tasted blind (1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert).

I pegged this for a Chardonnay, but it definitely evolved towards the end of the meal. Light to medium acid and the malo seemed low, but it was hard to come to a decision. Most guessed west coast Chardonnay.

Delicious. Swear there was a hint of pumpkin, or maybe that was the turkey cooking in oven.

Can't mistake what it is on the nose. Insanely fresh. Curious to see where it'll be in 5 years+

This is the Rhone label. A single varietal roussanne. They focus on red mountain fruit 100% ciel du cheval vineyard, ripe peaches and apricot like fruit with honey and beeswax. Nice richness on the palate with a slightly oily texture with a nice zesty finish. Finish 40+ excellent

Had a wonderful experience doing a wine tasting at DeLille winery. This was the best wine!

Floral and citrus aromas, tingly acidity balanced by a medium body, definite citrus notes... lemon and lime zest.

Decanted for a hour. This is really stunning.

Dry and pungent with lasting balanced minerality classically executed by DeLille. Green figs, montmorency cherries, and currants.

One of the better rosés I've had! Very smooth
