Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. So this one was very confusin, it kept fading in and out. As such I rated it #8 of 10

If you have any 2012 Altamonts this is a great time to drink them. Brilliant, sunshiny fruit and wonderfully melted tannins. It has clarity, depth and finesse right now with just enough acidity to keep the mid palate lifted. A real knockout vintage that may not get much better with time. Very harmonious.

Oct 6th, 2019Lush, powerful and focused. Tremendous weight but still feels lifted by fresh acidity and the exotic spice character that I often get from red Altamont soils in this vineyard. The finish is an irresistible basket of ripe, bright red forest fruit that really is spellbinding in good vintages which 2013 certainly was. Incredible compliment to last night’s Chinese duck.
