De Martino
Viejas Tinajas Itata Valley Cinsault
Another excellent Cinsault from this producer. All the 2016s seem to have a very smoky character. Peaty, damp forest, underbrush aromas are very persistent. Palate is a basket of juicy red berries and a stick of licorice. Dried green herbs on the finish. Outstanding.

Smoky, but a bit ‘light’, no tannins, earthy fruit, selection from WA wine club—dont think I’d buy again, but never had a cinsault from Chile—now I have :-)

Nov 16th, 2020Strong blueberry and red fruit nose with peppery, herbaceous mouth. So unique, but somehow also close to the Contino Graciano.

May 10th, 2018Very unexpected from Chile. Cinsault 2013 with light fruit and no oak. Tasted natural, balanced and elegant. Same start to finish across the pallet according to Anthony.
