The nose of this straw-colored wine shows citrus and stone fruit, along with a heap of of oak spice. The oak displays itself even more prominently on the palate, where the lemon, tangerine, nectarine and apricot flavors also shine. The minerality is what I like about white wines from the Edna Valley - chalky limestone is just the best. Acidity here is decent, but not overpowering. You could do worse for $10, that's for sure.

A nice Chardonnay which is still on the young side but certainly drinkable. The nose has light apple aromas, while the palette has young crisp green apple. If you can find it for less than 20 dollars it is a great buy.

Very good value at BevMo on a buy one and get the second for a nickel. Rich, smooth with a big buttery finish. Wife loved it.

Nice, round, California Central Coast Chard. Not oaky or minerally like a white burg; instead pleasant, fruity and slightly buttery, balanced by sufficient acid. 2014 vintage. Enjoyed with barbecued shrimp.
