Surprisingly dry, but nicely balanced, with a prominent nose of ripe red fruit, underripe dark cherry, forest floor and musty, funky, and maybe even some notes of tobacco smoke or barbecue sauce. Medium bodied, with a nice balance of jammy fruit and minerality with prominent tannin and notes of graphite, grape jelly, and a balanced minerality freshness with a mouth coating finish.
