Popped and poured. This is a darker noted and yet, unmistakably Pinot Noir. The fruit is ripe and glossy and yet it retains its acid and freshness. While I’m not crazy about the style, the site is showing its quality and I love that. Certain to be a crowd pleaser. This could probably benefit from some time on its side. Good now, better after 2025 and through 2031.

Medium Ruby color; lovely aromas of violet, dried rose petal, dried orange peel, cranberry, raspberry, wild strawberry, forest floor, sour cherry, black cherry and a hint of espresso. There is a lot going on in this wine and while it is beguiling now it will be even better in a year or two. A terrific effort.

2013 Fort Ross Seaview from the Davies family at Schramsberg . Awesome Pinot Noir! Reminds me of DuMol Pinots. Rich with loads of black currants. Great mouthfeel. Thanks Nick and #WilsonDaniels .. CB 95

A portrait in lushness and silken texture, the 2013 Davies Nobles Vineyard Pinot Noir offers red-fruited and fleshy aromas of cherry clafoutis, roasted strawberries, vanilla bean, and spice. On the palate, density and balance, one feels that the fruit expression is very pure, in fact the main element, with round, fine tannins and the merest touch of spice and roasted meat on the finish. I've had heavier Pinot from Sonoma Valley to be sure, this one is a sort of mid point between that and the Willamette.

Fruit forward and pretty delicious. Red and black fruit. Almost jammy but still with a nice lightness. Kind of slutty though. Not my style.

Lots going on here. Depth. Cocoa, dark coffee, dark red fruit, charred wood.

Smooth mouthfeel, has a backbone. A little sweeter than I prefer, but I'm not well versed in pinot. Very good.
