76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 3% Zinfandel, and 4% other red varietals. This is one of Dave’s best Cabernets (IMHO), lovely fruit, probably better 5 or so years ago, but still quite good!!

Jan 6th, 2024This is definitely mature, more evolved than the 1996 Cab, great bargain “in the day” ($95/case on futures), but the time to drink up has come, solid!

Nov 12th, 2021Now fully mature, this lovely, inexpensive (upon release) Dry Creek Cab shows red fruits, resolved tannins, just a tad of Brett which seems to add complexity, and a satisfying, medium-long finish.

Mar 3rd, 2021Last vintage of the Estate Cabernet after which the fruit has been going into the Aca Modot— nice color, still youthful, shows brett on nose and on palate, though not over the top (for my palate), red-fruited with plenty of acid, medium-long finish, quite good.

Dark fruit aromas and flavors, still some solid structure and grip, medium-long finish, terrific for the original $8 tariff I paid on futures, a bit more of a drying finish than the 1995.
