Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Hidden amid the redwoods high in the Santa Cruz Mountains south of San Francisco is the David Bruce Winery. Beautiful nose with aromas of complex ripe fruits and gentle floral spice. On the palate cherry and blackberry with citrus notes, cinnamon spice and honey. Smooth firm tannins, savory on a lingering finish ending with mineral tones. A Fav!

Celebratory dinner at Portola Kitchen with my folks and girls. David Bruce Russian River is always a crowd pleaser with balances, dark cherry notes, cola and rose petals.

Fruit forward classic RRV flavors. Preferred the 2013. Decent barbecue wine. Maybe a bit too fruity for me.
