Vintage 2023 | Obvious very young, shy smell, refinement, papaya impression. Lots of character, powerful grace like a ballet dancer. Treat!

Great as always. A seductive perfume of white lily and jasmine flowers waft from the glass, and there is exquisite balance on the palate, with a bit of Viognier/Chenin “gras” paired with wet rocks, a refreshing tartness and almost phenolic spice on the finish.

Lychee, mango, white cherries and a medley of juicy, dripping ripe orchard fruits. A white floral perfume sits atop the deeper notes. White grape, with lily and honeysuckle petals emerging over time, Well judged oak adds an extra dimension and some tangy vanilla. Subtly sweet with a great acid bite. A sense of wetness, like the sensation of wet river rocks. An all time favorite, Gassac has been pure magic every time I try.

Swoon. Everything here is so generous- starting with the opening bouquet of white peaches, peach blossoms, jasmine, and summer florals. The palate is subtly sweet, luxuriously textured and packed with stone fruit, musk melon, river rocks, mint and a hint of smoke. All those seductive elements are balanced by a crystalline tension from the spot-on acidity and powerful minerality. Everything is here, and expertly balanced. Hard to resist now, but I can’t wait to try it in 5-10 years or more.

Stunning bottle of 1988 Mas de Daumas Gassac blanc with dinner tonight. Bone dry with virile acidity and a divine nose of honeysuckle, acacia, apricot stones, and light, fresh strawberries!

Only their third vintage but this shows how the wines truly come into their on at 30;-)

Best bargain of all time alert!!! I thought that there was going to be a serious flaw when I saw this price (oxidized, tca?). Instead, I just opened the greatest Languedoc white I've ever had, hands-down. Dust, mineral, beezwax, and enveloping-length. Better than the Chave Hermitage Blanc? To me, Yes!

Exotic flavor palette from Viognier, chard, manseng and Chenin with complex dried white/yellow fruits and dried honey. Bright acidity still calling the shots on this 10 year old unique wine.
