The mouth is alive and bright, almost effervescent. But it’s a heavy alcoholic feel across the palate. A tobaccoy burn of tart cherry. Not much dimension. Not for me.

This was an emergency wine pick up from Liquorland for $15. I didn't want to crack into a bottle from the cellar so it was a quick trip to the local bottlo and I ended up with this Kiwi Pinot.

Light ruby on the eye with black and red plums, earthiness, bark and a touch of blueberries on the nose. Easy drinking on the palate with a lovely oomph of fruity flavour and a decent finish. A good wine on its own not too overpowering or filling - you know those nights you may over indulge at dinner and struggle to fit even liquid in after? This is the ticket!

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Pretty bland and basic red wine. Something to bring to a dinner party. Not very complex. Smooth. Definitive notes of tart cherry and oak.
