Delectable Featured Wine

For nearly 20 years Mike Dashe has been stealthily making some of California's most compelling Zinfandels out of his Oakland winery. Medium-bodied with intense dark fruit and exotic spice, this bottle proves why Zin is a longstanding BBQ pairing favorite.

Well balanced and pleasing but not too energetic. Good half bottle for pizza.

This is the reason I buy/sell/ and regularly drink as much wine as possible. If you like to say you don't like Cali Zin, this is the exact wine you need.

A faint hint of green apple candy. Makes me think this is whole cluster fermented. Rich and ripe fruit. Condensed and lasting.

Yes this is the "basic" Dashe wine, and yes I'm their national schnook, but DAMN this is good (cellar temp sure helps.) Blackberry, currant, hint of bay leaf, alluvial minerality and that vibrant acidity that is so Dry Creek!

Wow, showing well on day 4 (all these 4th day wines have been stashed on our cold porch). Acid and tannins are softer, but bramble red/black berry fruit still very fresh.

Great balance. Rarer than a sober Irishman when it comes to Zin.

Intense black raspberry fruit. Broad in the mouth. Hints of dark chocolate and earth in the aromas. Better second day. One of @EricAsimov's Wine School selections this month.
