This wine comes on strong, with a nose of blackberry and anise, joined by lesser touches of smoke and leather. On the palate, watch out for those tannins. They bite. Oak is noticeable, to be sure, but it's a sweet effect rather than a savory one. The wine is medium-dark ruby in color at the edges, blackening nearer the core.

I like Merlots, but this one is incredibly acidic and has no outstanding flavor. It's medium bodied with smokey notes to it, reminds me favorably of ashes

Begins with pleasant aromas of black cherries, baking spices, and vanilla. On the pallate the wine is a bit thinner than I expected and is light/medium bodied, off-dry, with well integrated soft tannins. However, it has an astringent acidity that unfortimately overwhelms much of the flavor. Certainly not a bad wine, just...unmemorable. #weekdaywine ($7.5) [7/5/16]

Sweet with a little spice initially, then fades out at the end for a smooth and easy to drink merlot.

Warm, medium bodied, rather sweet for a merlot and easy to drink. Gets fuller in flavour after it's been set aside to breathe.

Not very flavorful & quite acidic. Disappointing after enjoying their other wines.
