This wine can't be categorized. A white, a rose, orange or red. Not sure. Very "natural" and funky on the palate. Great acidity and citrusy. Lovely finish

Such intensity with a remarkably lithe palate. Citrus/orange, flowers/dried rose/sap, herb medley/tea.
Reminds me of camping in the mountains: sitting on mulch in front of a fire, surrounded by pine trees, breathing fresh air filled with dried herb aromas. It is wild and should suit equally feral foods.

Venezia Giulia IGT 2012, Pinot Grigio, 14%. Bottle tasted in Feb 2015. Sorry, I'm not a big fan of this type of "orange wines," I respect the producers, but the end result is not my style. The color of this wine is more like caramel with copper hues. Nose: burnt butter, dried rose petals, a little honey, a little citrous. Very elegant and intriguing . The producer told us that it had been bottle recently, so it needs more refining time in the bottle. In the mouth it was just too astringent and acidic.

Very volatile, some sour cherries and bruised red apples and high acidity. 22 days of skin maceration has made this wine looking more like a red than an orange. I think I would have enjoyed it more a little younger, there is a lack of fruit and too much volatility.
