D'Angelo
Aglianico del Vulture

Delightfully old-school. Highly expressive volcanic, mineral terroir imprint. Briary, racy fruit and lots of smoke, tar and crushed violet.

So tough to follow up an amarone with an aglianico so I know im doing no justice here but its very light and subtle. Not bad but nothing special.

Solid Aglianico. Not terribly complex but a good daily driver.

This was right up my alley for a fun, easy but pleasing drinker. Punched way above its weight class. Light, bright cherry, earth, graphite - on the nose a slight floral note as well. Long finish, light but tannic. Could spend some more time in the bottle and still improve. SommS

Aug 27th, 2020I really enjoyed this. It has more structure than the reds I’ve been drinking lately. Violet floral notes, dried cranberry, tar, and very well integrated tannin. Stood up well to a hearty Italian dinner.
