A fine wine that was obviously made well, but I'm haunted by the 2010 reserve. Brambly raspberries, graphite, and tobacco. Spring for the barrel select, or try to find the 2010 reserve if you can.

Smooth and subtle with mostly fruit but some light graphite. No brash green notes. Easy (not sweet) drinker with food. Lingers well.

A perplexing one, this bottle. On the tongue it starts well but finishes weak. When later paired with a soft cheese it’s finish improved markedly

Needs a minute to open up but once it does, bellisimo. Light body, but really full red fruit, spice flavor.
