Dal Vulcano - Aglianico Del Vulture 2017
Cherry, Raspberry on the nose along with a touch of almond and a mineral note like pencil lead. The palate is well done and balanced with a strong acid backbone and a nice red fruit note blossoming all along. Drying tannins show up in mid palate with a good grip, adding a layer of complexity there before a rather dry and tiring finish. It's a bit too monolithic and simple yet enjoyable. My last encounter with that grape was much better
