Lovely light mouth feel. Pairs well with Sardo cheese (island west of Sicily). Moderate spice, well balanced. Yummm

Pleasantly surprised with this California Dolcetto, much richer fruit than usual helps smooth some of the grape's rougher edges. Very spicy, a bitter green tomato leaf flavor, and solid tannin make a nice wine. Smell like that green tomato leaf too. It would be real good with food, bolognese, ragu, or bistecca

Aug 4th, 2016Tart cherry with evergreen and touch of licorice on the pallette. Pine/evergreen in the nose. Interesting, when we opened it it had a bit of pepper but it went away as we drank.
