Gorgeous Gran Reserva tasting fresh and youthful with an abundance of berries and vanilla bean. Granular tannins create expressive texture that isn’t too firm to drink on its own but would be stellar with red meat.
Air was kind. Alcohol in check. Superb.

Mmm! Really pretty nose of cherries, leather and dried violets. Good tannins and balanced acidity. Notes of cedar, tobacco, cherry, and baking spice. Holding up very nicely.

Aromas of Cherry, Tobacco leaf and leather. On the palate very balanced and supple. Medium bodied with medium weight tannins but with a good future for another 10 years. Oak in the background now at 12 years. Perfect with Roast Lamb. This was Wine Spectators #1 wine for 2013.

Popped and poured. This was singing from the start. Loads of dark cherries, blackberries, dark cocoa and earth. Long finish. Outstanding compliment to the meal.

Rich, dense, and complex. Lots of mushroom and wet earth and black tea with loads of cherry and blackberry notes. Lots of life. Will only get better over next 10 years. Absolutely amazing.

Nicely integrated wine. Oak is present but subtle which I enjoy. Plenty of tart red fruit, leather and dry red flowers. Opened up after an hour even more. Absolutely delicious Tempranillo!

More like a barrel sample now. Great with tapas. Lots of concentration and can go on for years

Beautiful! Not sure I've said his before, but I got a bit of a Orange citrusy note with this. Vanilla, and medium finish. Probably in its prime drinking window, though it may stay open another 3-5.

Incredible Tempranillo. Once it opened up smelled like blackberry jam. Paired perfectly with a crispy skin duck breast.
