Vintage 2010 / we drank a glass in the evening, and now for sunday’s lunch, so with hours aeration. Só much fruit in smell, a real good balance, elegance and refinement. / Paired with venison, small potatoes, chanterelles and snow peas

This is the current release. I don’t know a lot about Spanish wines. I know this is this banging.

Excellent nose which displays stature and balance. On the palette, lots of cherries with regal tannins. A little pricey, but very enjoyable, and will last for years - best of the bunch today

Most likely over decanted this bottle a little bit. Deep garnet red with a mix of ruby too. Layered nose with dark cocoa, a little herbaceous and herbal. Solid acidity and medium tannins (6.5/10). Well integrated with dried red cherries, tobacco, a touch dark, earthy and a little forest floor. Medium bodied and medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2025.

2021/2. This bottle felt younger and a bit more reserved - darker and deeper. The traditional Rioja oak was also more noticeable, with that hint of cheese. But there was still plenty of fruit to go along with it, as well - there’s plenty to enjoy now

2021/1. This bottle was especially bright and open, with layers of juicy red berry fruit.

2020 fall. Still rather dark and dense, but after opening with the oak, it opens up over several hours to reveal layered fruit. Still very young, of course, but very enjoyable with a little patience
