Tried another bottle. Winery established in 1969, in Carneros in Napa Valley, cooled by fog from the San Pablo Bay. Ruby with ripe red fruit aromas and floral scents. On the palate cherry and strawberry fruit with savory baking spice and woody notes. Smooth tannins, nice balance on a lingering finish ending with a touch of minerality. Very nice.

Such a pretty color in the glass. Aromas of wild berries and baking spices. Strawberries and plums on the palate. A small amount of spice, with raspberries bringing it all together. Good length and nice acidity. A very soft wine and easy to enjoy.

It was lovely. I'm doing an experiment, trying to find out if this one thing I love about certain wines is linked to Carneros. Turns out it's not, but I was delighted to have this wonderful wine as my Guinea pig.
