Mar 20th, 2023100% Nerello Mascalese. Bright ruby color. Aromas of black fruit, black pepper and dried flowers. More cranberry and dark cherry on the pallet with hints of dried figs, spices, dried herbs and graphite. Tannins are noticeable but the wine is nicely balanced. Reminiscent of a good Pinot Noir. Decanted 4 hours. Bright dark fruit and leather on nose. Mouthwatering with balanced tannins. Dark cherry, currant, rhubarb, mineral/graphite, undergrowth on the palate. Crisp moderately long finish with softness. Not mind blowing but solid complex, and with a unique flavor profile.
