Warm candied red fruit, Black cherries, butterscotch and berry caramel, even some cocoa. Pungent tart salty smokey aroma. Very nice palate... acid and tannins on point. Nice tannins that could help this age. Nice dusty chalky palate and finish.

A new winery from the Cusumano family. Name Alta Mora translates to “Tall, Black” representing heights of the vineyards on the mountain & the dark, black volcanic soil. Ruby with red fruit aromas and spicy pepper notes. On the palate flavors of tart strawberry & cherry with bit of earthy underbrush on vivid acidity. Medium tannins and finish ending with fruit and spice. Drink now.

Quite a nice etna rosso. In a good place right now. Lots of dark fruit with good acid, minerality, and earth. Quite a persistent finish.

A little too much oak for my taste but still nice citrus notes. Paired nice with seafood.

Enjoying a very nice red wine from Sicily tonight. A medium bodied wine with beautiful ruby red color, great notes of floral, red fruit and some earthiness. Lots of red plum, raspberry, cranberry and smokiness on the palate. The finish was was short but intense as the fruitiness of the wine reappeared! Excellent wine from the slopes of Mt. Etna.

Really great Sicilian variety. Quick to open, slightly mineral, complex but lighter. Enjoying with neapolitan pizza.
