Due to warm terroir and extreme diurnal shifts, even a Cupcake Chardonnay can be rich and fruity, with balancing acidity rarely sourced from elsewhere. Yellow apple, baked pear, ripe meyer lemon and apricot, pineapple and mango. White flowers, honeysuckle. Buttery, low earth, toffee, vanilla, toast and pie crust.
Quite quaffable. Quite.

This is too heavy for a Chardonnay. It feels thick and sickly sweet. Needs some acid at the end.

Light bodied, lemon-gold colour, citrus flavoured especially green apple and lemon and a slight grassy smell. Light oak taste but not overpowering. Great for fish dishes.

Lots of vanilla and on the sweeter side, now I can sell people better chard after knowing what this tastes like.
