Blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and notes of herb spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with tobacco, dried herbs and cacao notes. Long finish, fine tannins, nice acidity, ending with fruit, tobacco, oak and cacao notes.

Fantastic. Nothing out of place here. Open ripe cassis & blackberry fruit notes with a subtle lick of mint and dried herbs supported by some classy sweet mocha oak. Good to go now with a bright future ahead.

My final bottle of 6 I bought on release and the best. Deep crimson in colour - quite dark for 19 years of age. Notes of violets and all the classic Cabernet descriptors of Bay leaf and cassis. On the palate a beautiful mature Cabernet blend at the peak of its powers. Really enjoyed this. Jancis Robinson MW compared this to Margaux. A tradition of female Wine making with Di Cullen as Winemaker from 1971 until 1989 when daughter Vanya took over and continues to this day. Consistently one of Margaret River’s better Cabernets.

Cedary notes with undergrowth and a touch of asparagus. Soft silky yet assertive tannins if that makes sense. Detuned but authorative if that makes sense. A beguiling Wine which does make sense of these statements. This is very Bordelaise but personally I prefer some of the bolder masculine expressions in Wilyabrup like Woodlands and Moss Wood. So well balanced that nothing stands out. At 18 years old I will be drinking the last one when 20 in 2019.

Hidden gem on Salpicon's wine list. Under cork. Perfectly preserved. Ripe cassis with tertiary notes peeking through.

Superb structure, clean fruit and strong. Too young, though

Classic Cabernet (Bordelais) nose. Medium weight but persistent long finish. Plum chocolate and hints of eucalypt. Very fine tannins. Excellent. 18.
