Reserve Mendoza Chardonnay

Pale lemon with aromas of simple stone fruits and blossom notes. On the palate apple and pear with a touch of lime zest. Medium finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus and biscuit notes. Just ok! Tasting Sample.

We liked it better at the tasting. :(

Second of the blind Chardonnays for this quarter's S&E Wine Club. Theme was Chardonnays for white wine and red wines you can purchase at grocery stores.

Pale yellow. A touch of hay and dirty on the start of the nose. Quite a bit of stone fruits, a touch creamy and minerality in the finish. Medium plus acidity (6.5/10) and light bodied. Seems to have only a touch of new oak on the palate (came through a lot more on day two). Layers of peaches, lemon and stone throughout. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2021.

Nose: ripe stone fruits, undercooked pie crust, pineapple, slight salinity, slight minerality (slate?), Peach skin, herbs de prevence, dried basil.

Palate: med/med-high acidity, lemon flesh, the vaguest tough of brioche, nectarine,

Not as much oak as you would expect but definitely there. Bright citrus flavors with slight dry finish

Decent, full bodied but not oaky or buttery but a nice departure.

This was very nice. What I would describe as medium-bodied with a slightly buttery/sweet taste kind of like a pear. Amazing and perfect for a relaxing night in!

Smooth and floral

Perfumey and fruity at the front, a little thinner and lighter. Hint of vanilla at the end, but not big and buttery. Not bad for warm weather for the price.
