Deep Ruby with aromas of pronounced earthy herb spices. The palate shows blackberry with pungent oaky tomato leaf spice. Tannins are biting and sticky, leaving a medium(-) finish ending with odd spicy character. In a word “pass.” Tasting Sample.

Excellent second label from Sheridan. Great PQR at $18. Lush dark fruit balanced by some charcoal, espresso, and violets. Could easily hold up against wines twice as expensive.

Has a little spice. Fruit. Good.

Delicious and bold without being big. Plenty of cassis, plum, dark cherry, espresso, balanced by a medium acidity. Great depth and breadth of flavors, not exactly refined, but charismatic in its exuberance. Good value and worth a try. May overdeveloped in the bottle — fear it could start to exhibit molasses flavors early — so feel free to drink now.
