Six months later, and this is still nutty and oxidized and fresh and citrusy and moreish. Hard to describe, easy to love. Fiano. Under flor. From the Russian River. Who knew?

OK, so this is Fiano. From Sonoma. Aged sous-voile. And it works. Definite nutty and cidery flor influence, in lovely tension with bright yellow fruit. It's own animal, neither Jura nor Jerez, 100% delicious.

This has such a lovely texture with honeyed notes, good acidity, moderately rich, nicely complex, lingering finish, kudos to Florida Jim for this lovely white wine!!

Slam dunk winner of the Thunderbird Award. Delicious with a terrific Malaysian dinner. Great job, Jim.

This was great. I don't have a ton of experience with Fiano, but this was certainly consistent with the Italian versions. It's a rich and brassy style with a very slight furriness to the texture that makes it nice and chewy, but there is also plenty of freshness and crunch.
