Nonvintage effort from a really respected Loire producer
Has the hint of barnyard that backgrounds all their wines. Fresh with great fruit - alcohol balance
Not complex but interesting; better the second day
LMB ok
Good buy-and-drink choice that requires no cellaring

Bretty with hints of fresh grass and bandaid notes. Overall this 2010 vintage is interesting vino. Food pairing recommended. Get on it!!!

Natural Wine Devotee, Olivier Cousin (and his horse Joker), cultivates 12 hectares outside Martigne Briand. The vineyards accommodate Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Grolleau. This particular effort displays a marriage of Fruit/Brett/Pyrazine that set off Roasted Chicken & Grilled Vegetables...

Yes, a Brett bomb and VA, but the fruit on this is explosive! A satisfying lighter red that had me entranced.

Interesting wine. Brett is super dominant at first, with reductive notes in the wing. With some decanting, the franc notes begin to emerge--pretty roses, graphite, dried cranberries, and raspberries join the bandaid party. Fun share for the right crowd!

Vibrant and bright can franc with some serious barnyard.

Fizzy cherry cola, funky and super high acidity. A total buzz bomb, really wild tasting. Honeysuckle and pickled strawberry and balsamic. Medium bodied.
