A wonderfully framed, sweet liquorice nose full of perfumed red and black berry fruit, sweet tar, black olives and tarragon. In the mouth there is good balance with drying tannins but then plenty of fruit coming through. Lovely stuff!

Dark purple red.
Pepper, brambles, oak and garrigue or underbrush in the nose.
On the palate also très Syrah, but towards the finish this is getting a little murky, muddy, dirty. Or is that its inner 'rusticity' peeking through? Dunno.
A nice and good wine, nonetheless. Served next to fajitas.

Spectacular, not at the level of Brett but incredible Syrah, worth price of admission, no doubt . Incredible wine

Oct 8th, 2015It needs to open up for quite a while but this nectar contains the pure magic of Syrah, from the highest vineyards of south Alentejo! I guess not even in Australia we can find such good quality price rate of Syrah!
