Corra
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Super silky tannins and with that ripeness that surely was meant to appeal to many palates including my own several years ago.
This is a solid and very good wine in no immediate danger of falling off the cliff.
However as with many of the high octane Napa cult CS that I started to stock up on 15+ years ago I’ve realized that I’m often lacking a bit of “personality” over time and would suggest to pop the corks and enjoy this over the next 1-2 years.

Inaugural vintage from Celia's private brand.
Perhaps just the time/place but this was performing a node above my last bottle (where I thought it was on a downward slope).
I really enjoyed this so I think my remaining bottles will meet the corkscrew over the next 1-2 years.

Classic Celia style with silky soft tannins and a velvety mouthfeel.
I think this is in prime drinking window now and for a few more years but why wait...

Starting to slide, but really really enjoyable!

Nov 22nd, 2015In a blind tasting a few years ago I mistook this for a Bryant Fam. CS.
Let's just say I wouldn't do that today.
Still a beautiful wine but for me it has lost that "Wow-factor" and I think this is on a downward slope.

Didn't show well tonight but had some stiff competition. Too hot and jammy

Apr 23rd, 2016This is everything I love about a California Cabernet. It is bold, has deep fruit, plenty of structure and a long luscious finish. Only downside is alcohol is higher than I like. Perfect pairing with a 24 oz. NY Strip cooked medium rare.
