dried red cherry, fig, pipe tobacco, rose petals, baking spices; lovely texture with fine grained tannins, 13.9% ABV; blend of 50% Tempranillo and 50% Nebbiolo, spends 12 months in 30% new French oak; easily the most interesting Valentine’s Day bottle; $47

Feb 15th, 2020Very cool wine! I've never had a wine from Mexico and I certainly have never had a Tempranillo and Nebbiolo blend. Red and dark fruits with a bit of vanilla. Big and bold. Goes well with the Southwestern cuisine for tonight's dinner.
