Fruit first, with delicious aromas of apples, cantaloupes and guava emanating from the glass. There is a whiff of minerals, but it's downplayed to favor the ripe, fruity nose. On the palate, expect to find plenty of melon and tropical fruit abetted by a stronger play for the citrus zest and minerals. It drinks with a full mouthfeel, yet as clean as can be. It’s rich, without leaning on oak, aged in French oak barrels for only five months with the lees stirred every now and then to create that rich and creamy mouthfeel.

Apr 8th, 2015We had this on 9/19-20/15. This SB tastes more like a Chard. Tastes of lemon, grapefruit and even some melon. This 2012 has a smooth finish with just enough acid.
