A big thank you to Little Giant for sending over this 2021 Grenache sample for us to try from their new LGF aka Little Giant Free range.

Don’t forget to grab a specially marked Little Giant bottle between now and Sept to enter their Giant Wine Adventure giveaway 🥳

The Little Giant Free (LGF for short) wine range is focused on natural and organic winemaking, or ‘lo-fi winemaking’ as it is known in some circles. Not to be confused with preservative free wines, the LGF wines are:

* Certified Biodynamic
* Certified Organic
* Certified Sustainable
* Vegan Friendly

This Grenache is a juicy plum red colour in the glass. It’s elegant on the nose with hints of cherries, raspberries and red liquorice aromas. In the mouth it invigorates the senses with plentiful red fruit and a sprinkling of spice coming through. It definitely doesn’t taste as heavy as the 14.5% abv would suggest.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Smoother than a cherub’s ass cheeks. Blackberry and the sharpness of slightly underripe blueberry. One of the all time great week-night wines. I’d put this up 1 vs 1 against any other wine if tasted for quality per dollar on a week-night special.
